If you have been to the movies this year, you’ve seen them up on the big screen, larger than life. No, we don’t mean supervillains or space ships. We mean the “Hollywood” smiles of the biggest stars of the silver screen.
Many people dream of having this kind of picture-perfect smile, but few people (including those Hollywood actors) are born with perfect teeth. If you are among the millions of Americans who would love to upgrade your smile, then you deserve to discover what dental veneers could do for you.
This is one of the many cosmetic services we offer at the office of Brian Davey, DDS, in San Diego, CA. Call (858) 762-9991 to set up a consultation. Find out if veneers are a good option for you.
Should You Consider Veneers?
To answer that question, you need to know what you would like to change about your smile. Veneers can give you:
- A smile without broken or uneven teeth
- A smile that looks perfectly straight
- A smile without gaps or uneven spacing between your teeth
- A smile that is bright and white
If you want your smile to have one or more of the qualities we mentioned above, then veneers could help you achieve your goals.
How To Get Veneers
The process of gettings veneers is relatively simple and pain-free. And if you come to our office, you could get your veneers in as little as one visit.
You can get an individual veneer if you want to change the appearance of a single tooth or a series of veneers to change your entire smile. In either situation, your veneers will be custom-made to fit your teeth and to give you the look you want.
To get veneers, we often need to remove a thin layer of enamel from the front of your teeth. This is so your veneers don’t affect your profile when they are bonded in place.
At another office, your veneers would be ordered from a dental lab. Depending on how complex your order is or how many other orders were placed before yours, it may be weeks before your veneers are ready.
Since we have CEREC technology in our office, we can use computer-aided design to create your veneers with our in-office milling machine. That means you could completely change your smile in a matter of hours.
If you do this, please be prepared. Many patients have had emotional reactions (in a positive way) after seeing their new smiles. People who tried to hide their teeth for years leave our office with their heads held high and a smile as wide as can be.
