Relax With Sedation

Dr. Davey is licensed to provide sedation and is an active member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS). So, if you’re nervous about your root canal procedure, you can take advantage of calming sedation. Choose from:

  • Oral conscious sedation with a small pill you’ll take before your appointment. You probably won’t remember much about your procedure with this sedation method.
  • General anesthesia by special appointment. You will be asleep and have no memory of your procedure.

Enjoy a Comfortable Root Canal Procedure

Most people have fear when it comes to root canal treatment – so you’re not alone if you do, too. Maybe you’ve heard stories from friends or relatives about their bad experiences and assume that yours will be the same.

Nothing could be further from the truth in the skilled hands of Dr. Davey or Dr. Meadows! In fact, our root canal patients usually don’t feel any more discomfort than if they were getting a tooth filled.

Expertly administered local anesthesia will ensure your procedure goes smoothly and easily.

Once the area is numb, Dr. Davey will carefully remove the infected pulp (the soft inner part) from the tooth.

Then, he will sanitize the inside with germ-killing medicine to get rid of any remaining bacteria. Next, he will fill the root canals with a special rubber-like material to seal the tooth against further infection.

You can then get a beautiful new crown using the advanced technology of our in-office CEREC machine – at the same appointment! You don’t have to return to get your restoration completed. You can walk out with your repaired, crowned tooth the same day.

Get out of pain and save your diseased tooth with root canal treatment. Call our office today at (858) 762-9991 for an appointment.
